Terms & Conditions – Iron Ghoda Moto Tours

By booking and participating in any tour with Iron Ghoda Moto Tours, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following Terms & Conditions. These conditions are in place to ensure safety, clarity, and a fair experience for all riders.


1. Assumption of Risk

Motorbike touring in Nepal involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

  • Accidents

  • Falls & crashes

  • Injury or illness

  • Unpredictable weather

  • Altitude-related issues

  • Road hazards, landslides, and rough terrain

By joining a tour, you agree that you are riding at your own risk and understand the unpredictable nature of riding in high-altitude and remote areas.


2. Liability Waiver

Iron Ghoda Moto Tours, its owners, guides, staff, and partners are not liable for:

  • Personal injury or death

  • Loss or damage to personal property

  • Medical expenses

  • Accidents or crashes caused by rider error, road conditions, other riders, wildlife, or third parties

  • Delays, changes, or cancellations due to weather, political issues, natural disasters, or unforeseen circumstances

By participating, you agree to release Iron Ghoda Moto Tours from any liability arising from your involvement in the tour.


3. Rider Responsibility

All riders must:

  • Hold a valid motorbike license

  • Have the necessary riding skills to safely operate a motorcycle in challenging terrain

  • Follow all instructions given by guides

  • Wear protective gear at all times (helmet, gloves, jacket, boots)

  • Ride responsibly and respect local traffic laws

  • Notify the team of any medical conditions

Iron Ghoda Moto Tours reserves the right to remove a participant from the tour for unsafe riding or behaviour that endangers themselves or others.


4. Motorcycle Damage & Security Deposit

Each rider is responsible for any damage caused to the motorcycle.
A refundable security deposit may be required before the tour begins.
You agree to cover:

  • Repair costs for damage caused by crashes or misuse

  • Replacement costs for lost or broken gear or accessories

Normal wear and tear is excluded.


5. Travel Insurance

All participants must have valid travel insurance, including:

  • Medical coverage

  • Emergency evacuation

  • Motorbike riding (minimum 250cc)

  • Repatriation

You may be asked to provide proof before the tour starts.


6. Health & Fitness

Due to altitude and terrain, riders should be in good physical condition.
You are responsible for managing:

  • Hydration

  • Altitude symptoms

  • Medication

  • Any existing health conditions

If you are unwell or unfit to ride, the guide may stop you from continuing.


7. Itinerary Changes

Routes in Nepal can change due to:

  • Weather

  • Landslides

  • Road closures

  • Festivals

  • Local conditions

Iron Ghoda Moto Tours may modify the itinerary at any time for safety or logistical reasons.
Refunds are not provided for such changes.


8. Payment & Cancellation Policy

Deposit: A deposit is required to secure your spot.
Balance: Must be paid before the tour departure.

Cancellation by Rider:

  • Deposits are non-refundable.

  • Cancellations within 30 days of departure may forfeit the full amount.

Cancellation by Iron Ghoda:
If we must cancel due to unavoidable circumstances, we will offer:

  • Rescheduling OR

  • Credit toward a future tour

No refunds are given for events outside our control.


9. Accommodation & Food

We use local tea houses, lodges, and guesthouses.
Conditions may be basic in remote regions.
Food options may be limited.
You agree to be flexible with accommodation standards.


10. Personal Conduct

Riders must show respect to:

  • Guides

  • Fellow participants

  • Local communities

  • Cultural sites

Abusive, aggressive, or dangerous behaviour may result in removal from the tour without refund.


11. Alcohol & Drugs

No rider may operate a motorcycle under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substances that impair judgment.
Violation of this rule results in immediate removal from the tour.


12. Media & Photography

By joining the tour, you consent to the use of photographs and videos taken during the trip for promotional purposes, unless you request otherwise in writing.


13. Acceptance of Terms

By booking a tour, paying a deposit, or participating, you automatically agree to all Terms & Conditions listed above.
